HORRORTHON FESTIVAL

There's a horror movie festival on this weekend in Dublin. Except we have no decent home-made horror films. A few years back the dire Shrooms got booed at this festival! It's a real shame that we don't have even one quality horror movie. The closest is probably The eclipse but that's not 'real' horror. Another problem is that with all this technical filmmaking, slickness, and blue-rinse look in Irish filmmaking we will never make a decent horror movie now. Look at what the Brits have done over the last decade with their horror stuff? Then look at our stuff like Daisy chain. There is something wrong with our filmmaking setup when we can't even make a ½-decent horror film?
