Man of Aran
NOT a documentary though most think it is. A family hunt sharks and collect seaweed because there's no soil to grown food. Lots of water waves and sea while the cast are well dressed. One of the most famous of Irish films and it inspired other famous films (Terra trema). Shame we don't make more stuff like this instead of the sh-te our esteemed Film Board funds. From Gainsborough studios who also produced the previously reviewed Oh, Mr Porter!
