RETURN OF THE IMAX?
If there was one thing in Dublin before its time it was the IMAX cinema. Although impressive (there was a guided tour!) the films were complete rubbish. That was a decade ago and then it closed. Apparently the staff occupied the cinema until they got paid! Now Variety magazine are reporting that there might be a new IMAX cinema arriving in Dublin in the IFSC by the end of 2011? Without putting a downer on this IMAX films are usually documentaries or kids' animated films. The IFSC is full of finance professionals and the cast from Between the canals. Will it go the way of the Lighthouse? Or will it be a huge success in this recession? Or does anyone care? Shoot the cabbage doesn't!
